Job Description:

Hawkins is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Manager to join our team at our Centralia, IL facility. This position is accountable for the overall supervision of the Quality staff in the southern region including Centralia and oversight of facilities at Dupo, IL, Camanche, IA and Memphis, TN. The Quality Manager is responsible for meeting all regulatory and GFSI requirements for the site in Centralia and is the SQF practitioner. They will also provide leadership, guidance and employee development for all facilities in the Southern region and support the Quality Director as needed.

Responsibilities
• Provides management of the Quality department at the Centralia, IL facility.
• Manages the timely release of materials and supportive documentation through the Quality team.
• Coordinates and facilitates resolution of quality concerns and issues, acting as site management leader during a quality concern and deploying tools to manage the incident.
• Ensures that organizational quality systems and training are in place and enforced. Leads root cause analysis and corrective action on quality issues.
• Drives continuous improvement within all regulatory and certification requirements.
• Leads Organic certification.
• Functions as lead auditor for the internal audit program; manages audits and addresses non-conformities.
• Manages external compendia review and required testing for incoming raw material and finished product.
• Ensures appropriate documentation and design controls; updates documentation to meet labeling requirements.
• Manages HACCP, FSMA and risk assessments for all businesses in the southern region.

Job Requirements:

About You
• B.S. in Chemistry or science-related field.
• 5 to 10 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the pharmaceutical/food industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience in a Quality function.
• Working knowledge of FDA, cGMP and SQF/GFSI certification.
• Strong knowledge of analytical test methodology and ability to analyze/interpret test results.
• Ability and willingness to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• High degree of precision, accuracy and responsiveness.
• Ability to travel up to 10 to 20%.
